Description
The Other Side is an upcoming mobile puzzle game. Inspired by children’s book illustrations, risograph prints and screen printing techniques, its beautiful visuals convey the warmth and personality of hand crafted pictures. You follow the story of a group of ghosts looking to discover who they were and why they are still here, through a family friendly tale of loss, how to deal with it, and acceptance. Navigate an intricate world filled with mind-bending yet fun puzzles, find clues about the identities of our spirit friends, and help them reach the other side.
History
Having worked on the BAFTA Award-winning Monument Valley 2 and Assemble With Care by Ustwo Games, as well as more personal games like the IGF-nominated Lieve Oma, Florian Veltman is embarking on a new journey with the intention of bringing together the intimacy and warmth of personal indie games, with the accessibility and beauty you can find in mobile puzzle games. With Baptiste Portefaix, author, composer and collaborator since they were at school together, they intend to craft a beautiful story inspired by children’s books and illustrations like the Moomins, the Three Robbers, or Where the Wild Things Are.
